Do It Anyway,

Do It Anyway,
Do It Anyway,

Okay, what if I told you that right now, as I’m writing this blog, I’m experiencing the greatest panic attack I’ve ever had?

Honestly, I don’t even know what I’m afraid of and that’s the thing. Not having full control over a situation can be terrifying. But here I am, choosing to write anyway.

Considering the fact that my last blog post was from last year, I haven’t had much motivation or courage to jump back into blogging. I had all types of excuses why I shouldn’t write this post today. My favorite one? “It’s the middle of May, Vanessa… like, really? You pop back up almost half a year later?!” I sure did. And here I am. Blogging.

Because I won’t let that stop me.

And if you’re feeling the same way reading this in whatever your situation is then we’re in this together. I’m pretty sure there are more of us feeling this exact thing. Sometimes you think you have everything figured out, and then life happens and you realize you don’t. You give up. You stop halfway. You leave things unfinished because fear and uncertainty get loud. But let me remind you: even just showing up is courageous in itself. You have no idea how important your presence might be for someone else.

It all starts with confidence and I know that sounds funny coming from someone who’s writing this in full-blown fear but sometimes you really do just have to do it scared. That’s what I’m doing now. It’s not perfect. It’s not planned. But it’s real, and that’s enough.

One thing that helps is just facing the fear head-on. If you're like me, your mind loves to entertain every possible worst-case scenario. All the "what ifs" start creeping in and before you know it, you’re overwhelmed. But the truth is, most of that stuff never actually happens. That’s why it’s so important to show up even when you feel unprepared or uncertain. Push through the noise and remind yourself of what you know you’re capable of.

And no, you don’t have to tackle everything in one day. Just take it one small step at a time. If you’re writing a book, start with a single page or even half a page. If going back to school is on your heart, just make the first phone call and gather some info. If you're a content creator like me, do something low pressure: post a quote, share a photo with a caption, or just tell a quick story. (Side note: I love a good raw, unfiltered story can you tell? lol)

Also, please don’t be so hard on yourself. Life has a way of flipping your path upside down, and next thing you know, you’re in a completely different place than where you started. If you’ve been dealing with the pressures of life, or even just feeling off lately, talk to someone. Don’t sit in it alone. And if you don’t have someone, I’m here.

Seriously. I may just be a blog post on your screen, but I’m also a young adult life coach who gets it. I know what it’s like to feel lost in the middle of your own story. If you need someone to talk to, want to vent, or even just need a little guidance on your next step reach out. I got you. I'm not a therapist, but I am a good listener and a life coach, and I’m all about helping people like you move from stuck to thriving.

Welp! that’s it for today. Writing this helped me more than you know. And if it helped you even a little bit, then that’s enough for me.

Okay, see you next year!Just kidding… lol. (Kinda.)
